Santa, More Santa, and Ice Cream

We had a very busy weekend!

First, we had the company children's Christmas party at Springridge Farms on Saturday.  Shae had a total blast.

In past years, Shae has screamed her face of at the slightest glimpse of the jolly fat guy, er, Santa.  This year, I fully expected the same.  But, no sooner did Santa appear and Shae had launched herself off the bench and tackled ol' St. Nick at the knees for a hug.  It was one of those, "Oh my god, my kid is SO DAMN CUTE moments."

She went back to see Santa about 3 times before he left for the day.  She'd like a big Belle doll from Santa.  Let's hope he delivers.

Then, we drove like maniacs hurried home to park our butts on the curb to watch the Brampton Santa parade.  This was Shae's first parade - in the evening, no less - so I had no idea how she would fare in the cold.  She LOVED it.  Because it's at night, the floats are all lit up.  It was lovely.  Shae stuck her hand out for highfives to all the characters passing by.  Definitely a new tradition... we could even walk there from out new house.

Then, on Sunday, completely unrelated to the Santa theme... and only posting because I LOVED her loving this ice cream cone... the last of the summer stash of Chapman cones... going out with a bang.
