It's Coming...

...the jolly fat man!  Shae is already so excited for Christmas.  This weekend we hit up the Santa Parade with friends Pamela, Jacob and Layla.  Almost 2 hours of fun to ring in the 2012 Christmas season.

Shae's full of insight about Santa as well... noting that Santa is just like the garbage truck.  DO you know why Santa is like a garbage truck?

So, I'm slacking.  I skipped a biggie - Shae turning FOUR.  And I mean to post that.  I've just been, well, not blogging.

Annnnnyway... this year, Shae wanted to be a princess - again.  I even bought her a kick ass gown a couple months ago.  Then, Hurricane Sandy came and rained on our princess parade.  So we hit Old Navy on Sunday to get something more likely to not allow Shae to freeze to death, and have other parents look at me negligently letting her freeze to death. 

I also participated - in a beard toque I made.  I was very warm as well.  More warmth = more candy haul.

Yes, a two post day - this one really needed one of it's own.  Mike and Shae had a date this morning, down on the farm - looks like he knows how to show a 4 year old a good time.

Wait.  That's not it.  But I've been dying to publish Mike playing dress up as a fairy. 

Here's what I really should have posted... my two loves working on their own relationship!

Knock Knock

Shae and her cousin Dylan (6) are having a sleep over this weekend, since her 4th birthday party is tomorrow.

Many cute things have taken place today, and two of the funniest ones were in the tub tonight.

First, Shae and Dylan got in and Shae immediately looked at Dylan and said, "Ohhhhh. I think your penis is going to get me."

The best though, centered around Shae's failure to grasp the Knock Knock joke. 

Dylan: Knock Knock
Shae: Who's there?
Dylan: Banana
Shae: Banana who?

*repeat 2 more times*

After the last "Banana who?" and Dylan's restart, Shae says, "If you don't tell me who there, I'm not gonna be your friend."

Theeeeeeeennnnn, when I went in to get her out of the tub, Shae said, "Dylan won't tell me who's there... he just say Bananabananabanana."

Hee.

Thankfully, they are having a great visit otherwise.  I love looking at this melty movie watching cuddle.  Dylan even said he loved Shae as they watched. 

Mah and Pah are also in attendance for the party weekend, and Shae and Dylan ran them ragged!  Here they all are playing away on Shae's birthday present.

 And they wrapped up the day drawing faced on the pumpkins Shae and Mike picked out at Downeys...
